• You can be in NPS till 70 years of age and continue to avail tax benefits.
• All you need to do is initiate the continuation request online by accessing CRA system using your User ID (PRAN) & Password and Authorize the same from Nodal office in case of Government subscriber and POP in case of Corporate/UOS subscriber.
• Alternatively, you can approach your Nodal Office/ POP and submit physical request.
• Please make sure that your request should be submitted at least 15 days before attaining or Superannuation age or 60 years.
• You will continue to enjoy all the facilities and options of normal NPS account like access to CRA system, option to switch fund managers and assets class etc. during the continuation period.

• You can Defer your withdrawal with multiple options
  • Defer only Lump sum withdrawal
  • Defer only Annuity
  • Defer Both
• You have an option to withdraw deferred lump sum amount in maximum ten annual installments up to the age of 70 years or withdraw the entire amount once by initiating withdrawal request anytime during deferment period.
• All you need to do is initiate deferment request online by accessing CRA system using your User ID (PRAN) & Password.
• Alternatively, you can approach your Nodal Office/ POP and submit physical request.
• Please make sure that your request should be submitted at least 15 days before attaining Superannuation.

• Log in to CRA system (www.cra-nsdl.com) using your User ID (PRAN) and Password.
• Click on “Exit Withdrawal Request” menu and click on “Initiate Withdrawal request” option
• Enter necessary details including choice of Annuity Service Provider (ASP) and Annuity Scheme which will provide you pension.
• Once the details are submitted, you need to print the system generated form, paste photograph, sign across photograph and against the declaration and submit the form to respective Nodal Office along with KYC documents.
• The Nodal Office will verify the form along with the attached documents and authorized the withdrawal request online.
• If you are not able to raise withdrawal request online, you can fill up the physical Withdrawal Form and submit it to the respective Nodal Office who will initiate the online withdrawal request on your behalf.

Please ensure that your Aadhaar and PAN is seeded in your NPS account before initiating withdrawal.
Subscribers registered on or after July 1, 2014 are mandatorily required to submit FATCA Self–certification.

• Subscribers can initiate Withdrawal request online using I-PIN. Nodal Office can initiate online requests on behalf of subscribers/claimants
• Facility to select Annuity Scheme online.
• Simultaneous processing of lump sum and annuity portion.
• TAT for settlement of withdrawal proceeds has reduced considerably as manual processing has completely been eliminated.
• Change in existing pre-condition for Conditional Withdrawal under NPS (based on amendment in PFRDA Exit Regulations).
  1. The pre-condition of Subscriber remaining invested in NPS for minimum of 10 years is now revised to 3 years.
  2. Condition of 'Gap of 5 years' between consecutive conditional withdrawals has been removed.
